Worn ignition barrels
Years of a heavy keyring wear the barrel until the key turns but nothing happens, or won't turn at all.
Key turns but won't start
Often the immobiliser or the ignition switch behind the barrel, not the lock itself. We diagnose before we replace.
Replacement key supplied
If your key snapped because it was worn out, replacing the barrel without a fresh key just repeats the problem.

Things people ask before they call
Half the key is still in my hand — is that useful?
Very. Keep it. It tells us the cut pattern and often means we can produce a replacement without decoding the lock from scratch.
Can you fix the ignition or does it need replacing?
Many barrels can be repaired or rebuilt. We only replace when the wear is past the point of a reliable repair.
Will a new barrel mean a different key?
Not necessarily — on most vehicles we can re-pin a replacement barrel to your existing key so you keep one key for everything.
